Before Presidency

When Rutherford was little, he attended school, elementary through high school, in areas such as Delaware and Norwalk, Ohio, and Middletown, Connecticut.

After getting out of highschool, Rutherford made up to great places. He ended up going to Kenyon College and Harvard. At Harvard, he went to school for law.

Rutherford did, in fact, have political experience before his presidency. He started off as a part of the Ohio Congress and eventually made his way up to the Ohio governor.

After Presidency

After Hayes' presidency, his life was pretty dull. He moved back to Spiegel Grove, OH and lived there until he ended up dying of a heart attack at the age of 71. He was involved in his church.
